(…with apologies to my Latin teacher!)
Sometimes we actually venture outside the grounds of Coverts Corner, here in the great “Live Free or Die” State of New Hampshire. For instance, one time we met our regular UPS guy in the local Walmart parking lot. He was surprised to see us, saying, “I didn’t think you ever ventured out!” We replied that we’d come by goat-drawn wagon.
Easter Bells and Bagpipes
Easter Sunday, April 2020. Whilst the insanity of the COVID-19 “lock-down” continued, a little sanity reigned at the Brentwood Baptist church for Easter Sunday.
On the Lake
Late Summer 2019. Here we were up up in Maine, staying with friends at their lake house, speeding across a lake in the evening. If it weren’t so noisy you’d hear the loons in the background!
Treasure Island
Spring 2019. This is the wonderful view from our balcony where we occasionally spend some time on the Keys of the Tampa Bay Area. With all the animals we have at Coverts Corner, it’s quite the rigmarole to get away for a decent length of time!
Sandwich Fair – Tractor Pull
October 2017. We love going to the fair up in Sandwich. The tractor pull is always fun to watch and here you can see the orange tractor makes the pull, but fails at the next (and highest) weight. The final two clips show the winning tractor, although even he doesn’t make the full pull.
Conway Scenic Railroad
September 2017. We took the train that runs north out of North Conway up through the Presidential Mountains. The leaves were just beginning to turn and you can catch a glimpse of Mount Washington off in the distance.
Brentwood 275 Year Celebration Parade
September 2017. Brentwood just celebrated its 275th anniversary. This video is of the Historical Society float that appeared in the parade, featuring (among people and things) two of the chickens of Coverts Corner. They did very well and hopefully had a “good time”.
